You must be agree with my point that SEO plays a very big role in any blog's success. Getting loyal readers takes a lot of time but by doing proper SEO of your blog, an individual articles you can drive tons of free visitors on your blog.
Two SEO terms are most commonly used in SEO industry.
- On-Page SEO and
- Off-Page SEO
For your blog's success both are equally important. On-page SEO will strengthen your article's quality in terms of SEO while Off-Page SEO will help you to get more exposure.
In this article we are going to talk about On-Page SEO only.
Google is continuously launching various algorithm changes and bloggers like us are getting hit by those SEO changes.
Few months back Blogging Cage got hit by Penguin 2.0 update and it made a huge negative impact on my blog as my traffic was dropped up to 70%.
After such a big hit I started finding solutions and soon many things started revealing in front of my eyes.
I found that I made few silly mistakes in my blogging career which were the main reason behind this negative impact.
Today I am going to share on free tool with you which will help you to find on-page SEO elements on your blog and you can tweak them to make your blog more SEO friendly.
This tool's name is Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool
What does this tool do?
The Screaming Frog SEO Spider is a small desktop program you can install on your PC or Mac which will help you to find your websites’ links, images, CSS, script and apps from an SEO perspective.
It will fetch all on-page elements for SEO, presents them in tabs by type and allows you to filter for common SEO issues, or slice and dice the data how you see fit by exporting into Excel. You can view, analyse and filter the crawl data as it’s gathered and updated continuously in the program’s user interface.
The Screaming Frog SEO Spider allows you to quickly analyse, audit and review a site from a onsite SEO perspective. It’s particularly good for analyzing medium to large sites where manually checking every page would be extremely labor intensive (or impossible!) and where you can easily miss a redirect, meta refresh or duplicate page issue.
