Back in 2013 I interviewed Mohammad Mustafa, one of the bloggers I used to follow in my starting days of blogging and still follow because his top-notch and solution oriented tips.
Interviewing him was one of the best experience for me because having a person on your blog whom you admire is a self-motivational feeling.
I continued the series and invited some of the best experts from the industry who shared the tips from the bottom of their heart.
You can check all interviews here.
So I was always in search of another Pakistani friend whom I could invite on my blog and inspire thousands of aspiring bloggers to do something outstanding in their life.
Luckily I got in touch with Muhammad Yousaf.
He is one of those badass experts who believe in doing the best and bringing the best change in society to motivate the youth.
He keeps doing various seminars in Pakistan which are motivation as well as encouraging youths to start their career in internet marketing.
Muhammad is a super Flippa seller, product launch ninja, SEO expert, a speaker, and filled with many outstanding capabilities.
I am feeling awesome to have him on my blog today.
I would like to thanks him from the bottom of my heart for replying my interview question on an instant notice.
So let's read the interview.
#1. Muhammad tell us about your educational background.
I did MBA in Finance. Initially I wanted to have a degree in IT as that time IT was new and everyone was going for IT Degree. But I was unable to get the admission in IT College so I had to move towards the Finance sector.
I had the passion to use and learn computer stuffs back in 1998.
So I search for some courses in newspaper, as at that time Internet was kind of luxury to have. I found website course where you could create your own website.
Oh Man, coding…
it's not my cup of tea. It was like codes started dancing in mind whenever I tried to code anything.
So I thank to god that I didn't get the chance to get admission in the IT College otherwise I might have dropped the college degree. Finance turned out to be good one for me, which in start I didn't like.
The reason for telling all this is that, something stuffs happened for good reason.
We need to find out the reason as fast as possible.
As soon as we find the reason and start working on it, we can get the success fast. Tweet This
#2. How the idea to enter into internet marketing came in your mind and what big problems you faced in your starting days?
As I said before I had the passion to use and learn computer stuffs.
If I recall, I still have that “Monkey on Money Tree”, was surfing the Internet back in 1999 or so. A page open where it says catch the monkey and win $. And whenever I click on the monkey it opens another page.
Although I was unable to catch that monkey :).
But I will thanks the Monkey, because it gave me a thought, that computer can be used for making money. And from that day onwards I started searching on the internet about how to make money.
I started from paid to surf, PTC, MLM, data entry, and so on… and got scammed.
Didn’t have the money and credit card to go with, so started saving the pocket money to buy the stuffs, and almost 99% turned out as scam.
For years and years, I was just wondering where the real success is.
Then comes the YouTube and it change the life for me. I start watching the success stories, following the successful people, what they were doing and then stepped into the Internet Marketing world. :).
It was a very hard and full of failure journey, but I never lost a hope, I knew that one day I will get success. Another thing that I was very careful in my journey was taking a calculated risk, that is if I need to buy some stuffs, I tried to do a savings or tried to arrange that much funds which I knew I could return.
I didn't go into debts for longer that helps me start working again and again. Because If you fell in debt you mind got struck and you stop taking risk.
So I always teach my students and followers, do take risk but a calculated risk, the one that you can handle. Tweet This
Be wise, Don’t be Foolish.
#3. You are into product launch niche where you sell awesome products on WSO, JVZoo and other platforms. What market research do you do before launching any product? and what are the precautions we must keep in mind?
Product Launch, All of your reads. If you want a real success and real business online you need to step into the products.
You need a product to get long term success.
The simple formula for product creation is to find out the problem first and then solve that problem in your product. Stick with One Problem, One Solution in the start.
If you go for one problem with many solutions, process of product creation will become longer and you'll get frustrated if you don't get the desired results.
Regarding market research, don't reinvent the wheel, use the market trend to know what is hot and what is selling and try to create the product related to it. Just like in last year on JVzoo video animation software’s were hot selling and in fact the top selling product of all times with over 75000+ sales.
The top marketers took the advantage of the new opportunity and created many related software and tools and made no sales.
About Precautions, start with low budget with low profile/feature products to test the market and learn the stuffs.
Product creation and product launching is a new world.
It looks very glittery from outside, but there are some dark loopholes in it. This is what I teach in my Product Launch Madness Rockstar Coaching program. That what to do, how to do, when to do and where to do it and so on…
#4. Internet marketing is all about finding people who have the right mindset and as passionate as you. What are those basic criterias we must keep in mind before inviting someone to become our partner?
Internet Marketing is all about networking, the stronger your network is the more success you will get. Most of the people don’t try to come out from their shell and want to stay where they are, not able to learn new stuffs, and share the knowledge, which leads towards their downfall, when their systems fails.
Getting a right partner is kind of a blessing. Now a days, Facebook, G+, Twitter, Linkedin and other social networks and the related forums and groups make things easy. Follow the person, and you will come to know If he or she is right person to work with or not.
And don't go for a big project in the start, start with small projects so that you know how other person is.
#5. You are very active in doing offline seminars in Pakistan. Which is the biggest motivational force helping you to do such activities?
Yes we are doing seminars/events in Pakistan at Internet Business Trainings (IBT) platform. We help and guide the community about real online business and help them start their own business too. So far IBT helped and educated more than 16,000+ people directly and indirectly.
The main driving force is to help the community and guide them a proper way, and help them save time and money, which we wasted in past. We bring the experts from different industry in our seminars to educate them.
Our seminars are different from typical seminars going in the market, because our speakers are the real success stories themselves; they teach what they are actually doing. That’s made the event more effective and full of content.
We did seminars/events/workshops in different cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, and Faisalabad.
Right now we are working on a 1st International Event on Digital Marketing in Pakistan , where we are inviting the Industry's top experts to help and guide the local community.
#6. I have seen most of the people stuck in blogging only, but you did something exceptional. What suggestion would you like to give to all those newbies who are still struggling to find right path in online industry?
Yes, you pointed out a very big problem.
Yes, I will say it is a problem, that most of the bloggers don't think out of blogging… for which they can blame themselves. I started with blogging, made good money, sold websites and learned a lot.
But I also have realized that the type of blogging I was doing couldn't take me to the bigger success.
So I left it and went into other stuffs.
Here I want your readers to realize and ask a questions to themselves.
“Do you think your current business can generate the same (around) revenue for next 6 -12 months?”.
If your answer is No, then you are not doing a business. Think seriously.
These days I am on a reshaping and designing my business, starting from short term goals to the long term goals. You can do the same too.
#7. SEO: A very frightening word. What do you keep in mind before working on a site to rank it higher in the search results? and what suggestions would you like to give to sustain the ranking position.
Content is the Key , Now I don't write for Search Engines. I write for readers. I work on getting the re-visitors more.
Most of the people do SEO, to feed the Advertiser. They work on getting new visitors from Search Engines, they don’t work on making the visitors a regular reader of their blog.
What If you get 1000 visitors daily and get 70% re-visitors instead of 30% ?
then It will be 1000 new visitors + 700 old visitors =1700
and so on….
Are you getting what I am trying to say?
The real value is making your visitor happy, instead of getting him click on adsense or ads and pay you some cents.
If you can make your visitor happy and make them read your content on regularly you can make a lot more money.
#8. You are a Flippa Super Seller with 100% ranking for Last 3 Years, would you like to share some tips about flipping?
Yes, I am a Flippa Super Seller for last 3 years, sold more than $50k+ values sites, now I am also providing Flipping service to my students and followers to sale their websites at good price.
Website Flipping is really a good business.
Most of the bloggers don't even think about that, they just want to have their website forever.
I have worked and helped my students to think at bigger level. That website flipping can only help grow your business and boost you a lot.
The most frequently asked question to me is about what kind of website to build or sold?
There are two kinds of websites, Seasonal and Evergreen websites.
Seasonal websites includes, tech site, event sites, etc
Evergreen websites includes, acne, health, sports etc
If you have a tech site on iphone 7, it's better for you to sale it when it's on peek as after sometime the traffic will be dead or low and so do the revenue so it better to sale them .
If you have a acne site, don't sale it, have it and work on it, because people after years will also search for acne.
Same approach comes when you were built a site, you need to define the purpose in the start and then work on it.
#9. Online industry is on boom. Where 4-5 years back this was an awkward business profession, today it’s getting an identity in the society. How this profession is going to survive in the future and what do you after 5 years down the line?
Online Industry is growing very fast, and the best part is those who take action are getting the result and success.
After 5 years the competition will be very strong. You need to pick and decide one way, rather than doing multi stuffs. Try to become the authority and then you can dictate the market.
Stay on your toe, adopt the new changes coming in the market and draft your business accordingly.
This profession will get more recognition and more success stories than any other profession. It’s up to us how we make the list of those successful stories.
Start working on your brand that is working on branding yourself. So after 5 years people do know who Muhammad Yousaf Saeed is and then they can associate and support any project start by you.
#10. What are your future goals and message for my awesome readers?
My future goal is to make lots of money :). Ya money is one part, but my real goal is to help and guide as many people as possible and help them change their life.
Whenever I get message or update from a student or follower, who got success from my learning’s or my support. That is the best feeling. I believe the more we give the more success we will get. It is a very simple formula for success. But only few can understand it and practice it.
For your awesome readers, please follow Kulwant Nagi, He is really doing a great stuff for the community, appreciate his efforts and value it.
Don't settle for short term goals, think big and work hard.
People comes to me and say they need money or business is not working properly and so on…
I asked them questions,
- Did you do the planning before starting?
- Did you set the short term goals?
- Did you set the long term goals?
- How much efforts you have put in so far to achieve those goals?
- Did you try to change the goal, when you feel the goal you set is not the right one?
You can ask yourself and you will find the answer, when you find it implement,
Take Action, Learn, Take Action
You will fall; Learn from It, Stand Up tall, as you have the experience which is the real money
Take Action again, this time use your experience and get the success.
No one can define your destiny; it’s you who need to do it.
