Yesterday I was writing about WordPress Infographics and while writing the article I noticed that they mentioned some big blogs which are using WordPress as their CMS. So I got idea to compile all big names who are using WordPress and performing very well. WordPress have introduced so ease in blogging that you can start your blog/website with FREE WordPress themes and with some basic SEO plugins. With easy to use plugins you can rank your website very well. There are many big Blogs Running on WordPress  which will inspire you.

And this is also the fact that after WordPress introduction in the market blogosphere got boom. Many people moved from blogger to WordPress because of ease and still moving. You can find every niche blog running on WordPress which might not surprise you because this is most brilliant CMS available to run a decent blog or website.

I am going to share 6 big names which are using WordPress as their CMS.

1. Mashable

Pete Cashmore started Mashable at the age of 19, with just a simple WordPress blog. This is the biggest blog famous for sharing social media news and all tech news. If there is any news in the market then you can go to mashable and for sure you will get the detailed news there. Mashable is now receiving over 50 million page views a month and is one of the most visited sites in the world. Recently, it has even been speculated that CNN would like to acquire Mashable for $200 million.

With a simple WordPress blog which he started in 2005 he have reached at a level where everybody want to reach.

2. CopyBlogger

This is a very big name in blogging arena. Every new blogger wants to copy Brian Clark. He started CopyBlogger by just posting interesting content on copywriting for sales, and snow he is having over 170,000 subscribers. He started CopyBlogger in 2006 where he shared very interesting and intriguing articles which always fascinate the readers.

With the success of this blog then he started StudioPress, Scribe and many other big companies which all are running on WordPress.

3. ProBlogger

This is the inspiration of every big blogger. All bloggers have the same story that they learnt from ProBlogger. Darren Rowse is the owner of this big name and he started this blog around 2002 for sharing knowledge about blogging and internet media. he have covered all aspects of blogging in his blog.

You can learn each and every part of blogging on his blog. He is very famous for his bestseller books. “31 Days to Build a Better Blog” is his most famous book which will help you to dig into blogging and you can copy his tactics to become another top blogger.

4. Quick Sprout

This is a very famous blog for learning SEO and content writing skills. This blog was started by Neil Patel as a passionate blog which soon he converts into a content goldmine. This blog is famous for writing explanatory article that one post will give you complete picture.

Neil Patel is the co-founder of 2 Internet companies:Crazy Egg and KISSmetrics. Through his entrepreneurial career he has helped large corporations such as Amazon, AOL, GM, HP and Viacom make more money from the web. By the age of 21 not only was he named one of the top influencers on the web according to the Wall Street Journal, but he was also named one of the top entrepreneurs in the nation by Entrepreneur Magazine.

5. I Will Teach You To Be Rich

I Will Teach You To Be Rich, was started by Ramit Sethi in 2005 to educate young people, mainly college grads, on personal finance and wealth generation. This blog will teach you every simple aspect of business so that you can find hidden entrepreneur within you. He used to write very inspirational stories also which will help you to learn more about online marketing.

This is having over 250,000 readers per month and 100,000+ newsletter subscribers. It’s been featured in most major media, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, NPR, ABC News, and CNBC.

6. Income Diary

Income Diary was launched in 2009 by a 21 years old guy Michael Dunlop. This website have been featured in New York Times, Yahoo News, AOL, MSN Money, Daily Mail, PC World, Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, Y Combinator and many other big names. At Income Diary you will find many inspirational interviews and almost all big players of internet world. he keep taking the interviews and asking the entrepreneurs some tricky questions to reveal more methods of internet marketing.

    • Bharadwaj, Big sites always disable the wp-admin and make custom login url. Even you can also change it.

    I thought Mashable is a Developed website not using WordPress Script.

    • Yes, it seems weird. But this is the truth that they were on WordPress.

      But they changed it in December.
