Bullet-Proof Methods to WIN Any Guest Blogging Contest

Sharing is caring!

Hallelujah Bloggers! Kulwant is heating up the strategy game and I know you might also be planning to roll out a killer article on BloggingCage after you saw the Guest Blogging Contest news up here. Whoa, Don't say you haven't heard! –

There is a new contest up and running here where you can bag some massive cash and digital Goodies. Yeah that's right, show up your skills by shaping a creative and relevant blog posts, win some hearts and you beat it. He says 3 winners will be selected by diving into the statistics of Facebook likes, tweets, stumbled hits, G+'s, and comments.

They have points from point 2,5,5,10,20 and I think you should work to gain some comments by the traditional method – asking your loyal readers πŸ˜‰ .

Hey! wait a sec, are we overthrowing our self from the Topic? Then let's get straight to it. In this post I will be sharing some ideas I got with me on how to write a successive Guest Post. I hope this will help you to score big and win the contest.

So,

How To Score The Maximum Out Of Guest Posts?

Although we will be talking about writing a successive Guest Post, I think we should target more on how to win the game up here on BloggingCage πŸ™‚

Before proceeding, can I ask you a bunch of Questions? What is actually a successive Guest Post? Are you gonna sit back and wait for the magic to happen after you get your post published?

You have to exploit the best profits from your Guest Posts, for that you need to have a powerful item from its beginning to end.
Building up a strong online presence must be the main intention behind being a guest on other blogs. I got fantastic results to my blog just after writing my first post here about Optimizing Individual Blog Posts.

#1; Target the Loyal Readers other than Search Bots.

Know the fact that you are not Guest Posting for gaining organic traffic to that post. You have to write on reputable blogs and you need to grab their loyal readers from their blog and shoot them right towards your blog. You have to put priority to humans than SEO while you write on other blogs.

If you are participating on this contest, please don't over optimize it. Keep it in the ration of 1:3.

where Optimization : Content Efficiency.

#2; Magnetize your Titles.

Titles are the door to the posts. So shape your titles so that it give promise to the users around some value and make them your reader.

Write catchy headlines and make it a killer one and you won't regret it. Don't stuff it with keywords, but include a powerful keyword which is quite relevant.

#3; Don't forget to Roll Out Value.

Do you love reading worthless articles online? Probably no, if yes you might have some serious problems πŸ™‚ .

Who would love to waste their precious time online? So don't even think about making your readers bored or waste their time. Even if you are writing on another blog as a guest, try to put your maximum efforts on it.

#4; Gain some Love.

Try to act more human. Don't just list out all the tips and tricks all in one go. Write like you are talking to them face to face.

  • Ask them questions.
  • Confuse them a bit and solve it at the end.
  • Roll out some facts they already know to make them know that you got some valuable information with you.
  • Include personal experiences.
  • Make them laugh or think hard, you won't regret it.

Try combining these methods of course you with relevant value.

It's not about writing more, it's about the power in the content you write. Read Kulwant's article on Quality and Quantity when it comes to blogging.

#5; Optimize the Post yourself and Save the Moderator's time.

Yeah! I love it when my Guest do it. And I'm pretty sure you all do too.
To get your Guest Post published at the earliest and with a chance of 40% Β MORE, try to save the time of the moderator.

  • Interlink it with relevant articles from the blog itself.
  • Optimize it for Search Engines by yourself.
  • Other than SEO, highlight out the main phrases by boldening it up.
  • Make your post fragmented by using subheadings and list items.
  • Include powerful pictures as they talk thousand words.

#6; Never forget your Bio.

Think of a situation where you got em' all but forgot the author bio with link back and your spicy details. Ops! You lost the game πŸ™

Make sure you have an effective author profile which will help you to plus up your online presence.

  • Tell about yourself.
  • Tell about your blog.
  • And keep it simple and interesting to read.

#7; Well ofcourse Proofread it.

You might think proofreading is such a waste of time. If so, I'd like to nod my head like Noddy from Pogo does.

I have seen terrific mistakes on my older articles when I didn't used to be proofread them. And the results after I started proving myself they are worth it were fantastic.

Every police has a mistake, right? So take your time and read from the beginning patiently. Blame me if you don't find atleast 1 mistake. πŸ™‚

Reading-Intermission

Aah! I'm not pretty sure about the word I just used here, it just popped out.

Let's take a break. I think you got it all to exploit the best from a Guest Post. But you are planning to win the Guest Blogging Competition. Right? You gotta do far more than just shaping a killer post to win it.

How To Win The Guest Blogging Contest Like A Piece Of A Cake Which Is Tough To Cut?

So, you wanna win. Right? Hold on to your Keyboards and gear up your mouse.

#1; Make sure you write about the Contest.

Although he says it's optional to write about the contest, I think you should not let a chance of 400 points get away easily.
Write about it at the very end of the article. I think it will give more chance of not getting the readers diverted.Β But try not to go off the limit. Focus on your topic and whatever it is give it the top priority.

You will need to include the Images and Links of those sponsors in the post. Keep it also at the end.

This is the code you need to put on the article.

Grab HTML Code from Here.

Go to the Text tab in the writing section and paste this code exactly where you want to show it.

For example, like I did here.

Silver Sponsors

#2; The Sharing Hits Count.

Note that here is where the real competition starts. You gotta gain likes, tweets, Google +s and stumbleupons to score points.
So it's up to you to make the content, lovable and sharable.

Notice that the like social sharing buttons here on BloggingCage is situated at the beginning of the post. So 70% chances of your article getting those hits lies upon the Title. Make use of the tips I told you earlier to give yourself a more winning chance. Impress them and make them Wow by using those buttons after seeing the titles.

#3; Comments matter more.

First of all, good work Kulwant, for setting a higher point level for comments. Great idea. πŸ™‚

It's 20 points which you will get from a comment. And I think he will not be counting repetitions and author comments. Right?

So, don't forget to ask your readers questions, deliver great content and arise back questions in them. Even if your replies won't count, try to reply all those comments you get to gain more comments. People will actually start to think – “Wow ! Quick responses, I love them”.

#4; Now to Promote it.

Don't just sit back after you get your content published. Go and fetch some readers + traffic. It will be worth doing.

Guess what I'm participating too. But I'm pretty sure I won't touch the decision area of Kulwant's mind. I know there are some pretty good loyal readers who are pretty good writers up here on BloggingCage and I just entered the blogosphere. But a try is always worth it. Right? πŸ™‚

  1. Thanks a lot for approving my post Kulwant.
I have thrown some questions at you. Do you mind answering them?
And the best part is the date you declare the winners is actually on my Birthday. May 20. So excited πŸ™‚

    • Hi Amal,
I’ve been reading from you for the past 1 month and I head about this contest from your blog. I think you are already winning.
Good luck. I’m sure you will celebrate your Birthday with the prize and goodies from BloggingCage.

      • Hey Aisha,
I didn’t expected you over here. And that’s the only reason I participate on this contest. Not for prize money, but if I win this, it will be a blast of a birthday.
Thanks a lot for wishing me luck! πŸ™‚

    • Hello Amal,

I was a little held up with my family and job..So was a little late in coming to your post..

This is the best article I have seen on winning a guest blogging contest..I wish you all the best..There could have been one more point:

      1. How to compete with the fellow bloggers and know their strategies..Because if you don’t do that then everything else will fail..

Anyways, I wish you all the best for you to win during your birthday, Amal.

      • Hi Sareena,
I know about your busy life and job! πŸ™‚ But you were not that late. It’s before Kulwant locked the points.

Thanks for adding up that. Compete with fellow bloggers are something I should included as a point. Right.
Thanks sis. For wishing me my b’day and supporting me πŸ™‚

Great Post . All of this appreciation is still less . Loved the way you write . Shared your posts . Hope you win . πŸ™‚

Love this post! Wait a second…I wish I read it before I entered the contest πŸ˜‰

You hit on some wonderful points here. Solving a problem in an energetic and focused manner, adding entertainment value, helps you connect with the hearts of your target audience. Reaching this point becomes easier with practice, so guest post, again and again, and you cannot help but to connect with people, boost shares and boost your comment count too.

Become friends with a ton of people. This is the best way to win any type of contest, or to succeed online for that matter. Also, detach from outcomes. This is not even a competition, really, but a chance to help people, make good friends and have loads of fun doing it.

    Thanks Amal,

    Ryan

    • Hey Ryan,
Glad to hear that a blogger like you actually loved it. And em’ loving it! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Khaja bro,
      doing my best over here.
I owe you for that tweet! πŸ˜‰ See you around.

  40. Great points, Amal as usual.
One of the most important things (as you mentioned ) is to shift our focus to our readers instead of what’s “in it ” for us.

I guess I added 25 point by commenting and tweeting.
Good luck with it, my man!

    • Hi Akos,
Whoa – Glad to know that you liked it and thanks a lot for pushing me some points. πŸ™‚
      See you around.

  41. Hi Amal,
Well well well, look at you my friend already smiling in pic. and no. 1 in the list, no doubt you are gonna win this competition, you prove to be 1 step ahead in blogging and every one can see your efforts, I’m sure every other participant have gone through your article to give there best. When I saw your article social counter it blowed me away, I was like what the hell man 1k tweets in so less time, I don’t really know if they come from legit source or not, but the facts(comments) here proves “you don’t want to win this competition-actually you don’t want any other to win” and i can see that in your comments which is not all negligible.

Efforts and hard-work is always fruitful sooner or later and you have become so popular in short span by your work, I wish you all the best for contest and future.

    • Hi Devagya,
I hope your guess will work here πŸ˜€ !
And about the Social Counters. It’s not anything illegal or something. And you know, every one wanna keep some of their strategies with them. Right?
Yeah! I do want to win. It’s not about the Prize money but the date Kulwant gonna declare the winners is on my Birthday and I do want to make it special πŸ™‚

Thanks a lot for adding up your comment and wishing me luck πŸ™‚ See you soon.

  42. It’s encouraging to see bloggers tested like this and stand not just a chance to win money but to also explore the full potentials of blogging. This is really great, i wish success.

    • Hi Nwosu,
Thanks a lot for diving in and adding up your comment. See you! πŸ™‚

    • This is the real specialty of a blogger that if he shares his own strategies and tips for his/her success, then his/her future is safe and secure and might considered in the list of Pro-bloggers.

And Zion Amal has this specialty in him. He is going with a NOS boost in blogging arena. I wish him good luck and my all best wishes. πŸ™‚

      • Whoa! Actually bro, I haven’t thought of that. Well thanks πŸ™‚
You’re the first one to say so. I think I’m having some probs with my NOS I think. It’s slowing down or is it that others having a powershot NOS? πŸ˜€
        See you around πŸ™‚

  45. Hi Amal,

I think you have chosen the perfect subject to win this contest, good luck.

    Dipra Sen

  46. I wonder how you choose the most relevant topic to heat up the competition. Excellent thought that has been applied here and quite informative guide to learn the hidden secrets of guest blogging contests.

And yes, you’re right. Optimizing posts before the submission for review is the happiest thing for every admins. If you can make wonders in the first post by proper optimization, I’m sure that the admin won’t even read it further. It makes your submission easy and helps to build a healthy relation with the admin.

I’m also an admin who accepts many guest post. So it’s quite easy to judge whether the author is efficient or not.

You won in this scenario and I appreciate your effort in bringing maximum killer ideas in a spectacular manner.

I’m sure you will succeed in this contest. All the best.

    • Guess the article is working smooth after all! πŸ˜€
If we do all the optimization ourself, all they think is – Whoa! Lemme just kick that Publish Button.

Thanks a lot for your appreciation and let’s hope your calculations work. πŸ™‚

  47. Congrats Rafeeq bro, you are on your way to victory. It also helped you that I could not submit my entry πŸ˜›

Thanks a lot for sharing the entry. See you around.

  54. A try is always worth, Amal and without trying how you will know if it is specially made for you?

You are explaining the secret of winning a guest blogging contest in the ‘guest blogging contest’ itself? This has two really dangerous blades on both side of knife. If the tips are really working, your competitors already got them and increased their chance to win this contest, didn’t they? And if you did not win this contest, how will you prove that these were the ‘Bullet-Proof method to WIN any guest blogging contest?’ You’re in a really difficult position Rafeeq! πŸ˜€

Jokes apart, my best wishes for you with this contest and I’ll share this post to all of the social networks I get here.

    • Yeah man, A try is always worth it.
And it really is a dangerous situation for me even if it’s a joke that you rolled out. I’m bit confused on answering this question πŸ™

Thanks a lot for diving in and sharing.

  55. Awesome Points! Haven’t got time to participate in Blogging Cage’s contest but will surely participate in a contest and follow these methods. Cheers πŸ™‚

    • Hey Anirudh,
Glad you liked it. BTW, thanks for lowering down the competition πŸ˜€ ! Jut kidding! πŸ˜‰
Hope these tips will help you win next time. Good luck and thanks a lot.

  56. Hi Amal ,

You’ve got a great post here . I wanted to participate in this contest . But I think that the contest already ended . I hope you win this contest . I read this post long ago but did not get time to comment here . I got the time now and I am commenting now . I like the post and I’ll surely us this as a guide to participate in other such contests .

    Regards,
    Navneet

    • Hey Bharath,
Thanks for your support and kindness. May you win the contests you participate. Keep up! πŸ™‚ Bye.

    • The post is worth to be made an eBook by adding few more words to it. One thing I noticed that Zion Amal has put every line as it is, means many bloggers just concentrate on long words and lines to make posts lengthy but there will be nothing worth to be reading in the posts.

But Zion Amal has covered all points, words and lines with need. The lines are clear and important enough. This is am0ng those posts which I read fully. Otherwise I don’t read full posts just titles and headings etc. But this post is worth full reading. Just like a novel, line to line. πŸ™‚

      • An eBook. Well I haven’t though of one yet. Lemme give it a try πŸ™‚ Thanks for pinging the idea.

All points? πŸ™‚ Thanks for being so kind bro. Glad to know that you read it fully.
About the size of the post. – It was actually turned into this big at the end.
Thanks a lot Ashwani bro! πŸ™‚ See you around.

  84. Hello Amal,

Well, things are happening REAL fast with you. πŸ™‚
10 minutes ago, I didn’t know you at all. Next thing I know, you accept my request to join your BUC community on Google+, you give me advice about something, then you tell me I can win a smartphone, so here I am commenting here.
I hope you don’t mind that I share this blog post you wrote here, I’m sure you won’t. πŸ™‚
It’s funny that highly successful marketer Ryan Deiss wrote recently that guest posts are useless. To the contrary, you seem very enthusiastic about it, and that’s the understatement of the week. lol
I hope we can build a strong relationship. I look forward to your posts and blogging advice.

    Philippe

  85. Awesome post mate. Love to read such detailed posts. Obviously Catchy titles and unique content let you post go viral..

  86. Hi Amal,
First of all your Tittle is really interesting “Bullet-Proof Methods to WIN Any Guest Blogging Contest”. Really its Bullet-Proof.. :). I am happy to follow ur post to win .. πŸ™‚

    • Hi Halaluddin,
Thanks for supporting me. Actually the credits go to Kulwant for the title. He just made that one πŸ™‚

  87. Hi Zion ,

I am Navneet’s brother . He told me about this post . I read it completely from head to toe . I loved it . I hope you win this contest . I like your thinking and presence of mind . You showed it by writing about a guest posting contest in a guest posting contest . Good for you .

    Regards,
    Navneet

    • Hey Bro,
I know you from Navneet too. Thanks to him and you for your supports. πŸ™‚
      Good luck to you too.

  88. Hi Amal
Nice post, thanks for the info. will help many.
and yes best of luck, hope you win.

  89. Great pointers but the two most important to me are the author bio and post optimization really because i hate when i get a guest post that i still need to edit or it doesnt include the author bio . πŸ™

    • Hey Osei,
Agree on that. Author bio and the meat is the top prior things. i too hate it when I get unfinished posts. πŸ™‚
      Glad you liked it. Thanks…

      • But author bio without a google plus account integrated is a waste, right? Because it changes SERP do you agree ?

        • It’s not actually WASTED ! But it’s kinda a loss. If you have a plus account integrated, Google will push your presence and authority to the next level. Thus resulting in SERP. On second though It will be kinda waste too. Agree! πŸ™‚
But hope you know what I mean…

  90. Hello Amal, well that was really interesting , and the only thing that makes me feel to read it was the TITLE of the article. it is eyecatcher. Hahahaahah and the best part, I started this reading and was sitting on toilet seat ….wondering when I finished all stuff:D …and still on the seat …….shit happens πŸ™‚ πŸ˜€

    • Whoa! Great!
Yeah ! I do that sometimes too. To kill time up there! πŸ˜€ Shit Happens quickly when we read. πŸ˜€ If you know what I meant! πŸ˜€ Hehe!
Thanks for diving in. Stay around a bit. Okay?

  91. I know authorities on blogging usually recommend writing in your own unique “voice”. However, I think they should also admonish writers not to use too much slang or jargon or else it throws off readers who aren’t familiar with the way he/she speaks. In this case, since this is my first time reading your blog, I didn’t realize at first that you were joking in the paragraph on proofreading. I was embarrassed for your ironic mistakes in that section until I figured out they must have been intentional as a means of driving home a point. πŸ™‚
    Thanks for your post.

    • Hey Brieanne,
Whoa! I’m surprised that you commented on my post πŸ™‚
Thanks a lot buddy. I do completely agree with you. Glad to hear that worked πŸ™‚

    • Hey Laura,
Thanks. BTW, great work on Empower Network. I’m excited that you actually commented here.
      Good luck πŸ™‚

  92. Nice tips Amal to follow in order to win a blogging contest. I agree with all the steps you have discussed above, proof reading too plays a major role. If your article has many mistakes forget about winning. I think you wrote on how to win a blogging contest and you yourself are in a run to win a contest.

Anyways all the best and thanks for Kulwant for bringing out writing skills of many bloggers through this guest blogging contest.

    • Exactly, Proofread it and move your writings to the next level.
Well said man. πŸ˜‰ Liked it.
And, I really thank Kulwant for that too. It’s my first Guest Blogging contest and it has helped me to win a perfect online presence from my beginning. Thanks Bro! πŸ™‚

  93. Great article Amal, and I hope to have you as a contestant in the contest that I am going to hold on my site. Good luck with this contest.

    Vijay

    • Hey Vijay,
Well, glad to know that you followed him to this post. You’re welcome man πŸ™‚

  99. Well, Proofread. Something I was really lazy to do but which I’vent used to do resulting in so much bad content on my blog.
I often gets bored while Proofreading my posts. Do you have any suggestions on that?
    TW, best of luck.

    • It’s kinda Normal Josue. I too was lazy to read the whole post again after writing.
But try to see the good side of it. Try having a milestone that YOU WILL FIND atleast 10 mistakes and then only PUBLISH it. Tell me if it works. Okay? πŸ™‚

      Thanks a lot..

  100. You are right, editing the post all by ourself will save the time of the admin and thus result in quick approval. I have thought of this and but forgot.
Thanks for reminding me again with it. But people don’t often get chances to participate in these kind of contests. I wished I knew about this some time ago.
    Good luck now…..

    • Exactly,
Who would not like extra time? So optimizing the content for the admin = Quick Approval. Make sure you remember about it next time. Okay? πŸ™‚

I’ll try to ping you next time “IF I CAN”. Good luck! πŸ™‚

  101. I would argue the ‘comments matter more’ portion truly depends on the type of blog we’re talking about. Aside from that all in all everything is pretty spot on here for an ideal not just winning a guest blogging contest but how to get more out of guest posts writeups.

    • Hi Stuart,
Hmm. I think that’s something I forgot to think and write. I don’t wanna argue with you on that.
Yeah! Comments matter here. And well said, you need to get the best out of your Guest Posts too.
I’ve been to Civin, your blog and I’ve seen those words in action up there. Congo!

Thanks a lot and see you around..

  102. Great tips Amal, I agree with all the steps you have discussed above, proof reading too plays a major role, but the two most important to me are the author bio and post optimization really because i hate when i get a guest post that i still need to edit or it doesnt include the author bio .

    • Hey Sam,
You know what? On my last exam, I just finished first and a girl who sat in front of me said to Proofread it. It was like Holy Tornado! πŸ˜€
I was having hell lotso mistakes.
Yeah You should ive importance to Author Bio and your Meat.

  103. Hey Amal,
Indeed a pleasure reading your article. I guess your tips are going to work for me for my next guest blogging. πŸ™‚
All the best for your work. Good luck. πŸ™‚

  104. I agree to you.
You should target loyal readers than search engine bots. And great idea that you said about grabbing loyal people from than blog and throwing to your blog.
    Well said. Good luck now..

    • Yeps! It’s Humans who read your content. There are other sources to gain traffic like building online presence.
Be sure to grab some loyal people from your next Guest Post.
Thanks for helping me BTW! πŸ™‚

  105. I sometimes forget the #2. I never choose proper title for the blog post, because I took me so long just to figure out what the proper title. Never tought that it is very important..

    • Hey Rini,
I had the same problems long ago. I recommend you try taking a look around you to find interesting words πŸ˜€ It works πŸ˜‰

Hi thanks for your suggestions Zion, the most important part that I liked in your post is that you have consider the point that no other blog have discussed yet that is AUTHOR BIO, you must have an impressive author bio to get your guest post on quality blogs, if you can make your author bio cool then surely more people will look forward to interact with you.
