Getting more done every single day is one of the essential terms for success. When you get more done each day, you'll get more done each month, you'll get more done each year — You will get more done in life, and that's success!

Isn't it ?

Today, I will share with you guys the most important 7 time-management and blogging habits that I learned during last few years in the internet marketing business.

I was always curious to know about the success of people and their secret tips to get the things done in better way. So, I started reading many books and watched many videos in last few days. These books/videos not only helped me to take the right decision, but they have taught unimaginable good habits which I was not able to integrate from a long time.

Here we are going to talk about 7 habits which I have integrated in my life (very slowly) and want you too to integrate them in your life.

1. Set daily goals

I read this statement thousand times – “Set the Goals.”

But as all other guys, I never cared about intentionally setting my goals.

Setting goals and working plan for each day, this habit will take you to a very new level in life. Make the list at the minute you wake up, then start following that.

Get used to actually follow what youΒ write, every single day. Also don't plan more than you can do, so make sure your list is realistic.

2. Find your time

This might seem difficult to you, because you are already doing most important time waste of your life.

Using Facebook. πŸ™‚

I can say with 100% belief that you are wasting atleast 70% of your time on Facebook just doing nothing.

So please stop it.

Find time for your business, and work on it to grow.

Some people can work in the night, some can work in the early hours of the day. Make sure to recognize what type of person are you, then schedule your daily plan according to that.

Do the hard work on your best hours, and rest on your bad hours.

3. Early rising

I tried to rise up early in the morning and failed many times.

But something happened in my life and I had to integrate this routine.

I did it very slowly.

First week I woke up at 8:00 AM (Yeah, I used to sleep till 10:00 AM).

Then next week I made it 7:30.

Next week 7:00 and finally 6:00 AM now. πŸ™‚

Waking up early is very important. I wake up at 6 AM everyday, and what I accomplish before 8 AM is probably more than what others do in a whole day.

When you wake up early, there are no distractions, no noise — You'll be surprised how productive you can be.

4. Ready-fire-aim

While others tell you to Get ready – then aim (plan) – then take action (fire). I will suggest something different;

Get ready –> Take action –> Make your plan better after gaining the experience.

Don't get stuck in the “aiming” stage.

5. Set deadlines

Always set a time limit to complete each of your daily/monthly/yearly tasks. Because when you will have pre defined goal in front of you, so you will focus more on that.

Setting deadlines will always keep you dedicated for your work. You will feel much happier when things will happen before deadlines.

If you know what you are going to do tomorrow, you are already 50% more productive. ~ Kulwant Nagi

6. One by One

We do too much multi-tasking, and from my point of view this is the top reason of failure.

We want to do all the things in limited time and always try to do many things at same time.

Avoid this.

Don't switch task. Work on one thing, and keep doing that till you finish it, you'll find that you are doing much more when you are just focused on one thing.

7. Eat Ugly Frog First

This needs no explanation. Put the work that you don't really enjoy doing at the head of your list.

I read one book Eat that Frog few days back and this book taught this lesson.

After doing that work you will feel too much satisfied and relaxed. So always start your work with most difficult task.

I hope you enjoy it πŸ™‚ and going to integrate the blogging habits soon in your routine.

    Good post it is!

Accepting all the points and I really like the last two points.

Yes, multitasking reduces the productivity and aiming to complete the most difficult task earlier is good.

I use to publish my blog post first, then will take care of all other blogging activities.

Thanks for publishing a good post Nagi πŸ™‚

That was very nice post, πŸ™‚ The reason I started My Success Stories is that whenever I read about success of other people, like Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, and many others, it always inspired me, and then Idea came that there are many successful people out there, hidden like you (kulwant) So I though they would love to share there success and I would write about them, And you make the same point at beginning of this post, And I stopped using facebook 7 months ago , when my first blog flop because I was always talking and posting on my Facebook page πŸ˜€ so my visitors better got help from my page rather blogs , that was a nice experience and lesson as well, Still remember how foolish I was.

At this time I wake up at 8 A.M, but slowly slowly I will try to wake up at 6 A.M, because I also feel early rising gives us more freshness to think about the topics. Thanks.

You have listed some great tips here, Kulwant. despite having been making money online since 2007 I have yet to get myself into a proper routine to make the most of my time. The biggest obstacle for me is that I have bipolar and there are plenty of days where I can’t be bothered to get out of bed, never mind work.

    I’ll keep trying though. πŸ™‚

    • Kulwant Nagi
      09/07/2013 at 5:25 PM

Sorry to hear about bipolar, but still we can manage our work in best way and get most out of it. We must learn the things to manage our work first.

Now that was some Outside the Box thinking πŸ™‚
From the 1st to the 7th! I just wanna do a claps to you. #Awesome. And the best part? It was really interesting to read. Kinda feel like starting over from the Title. Keep up the good work bro.
Your writing style have now changed a lot from 6 months before and I’ve been following you from back then. Congo!

    Cheers πŸ™‚

“Setting goals and working plan for each day, this habit will take you to a very new level in life. Make the list at the minute you wake up, then start following that.
Get used to actually follow what you write, every single day. Also don’t plan more than you can do, so make sure your list is realistic.”

I completely agree with this. I’ve found setting long term goals is completely ineffective. Doing so makes it too easy to get overwhelmed and not know what the next logical action to take is. However, I think setting an aggressive todo list can actually help you to get more done. It creates a greater sense of urgency. Regardless, thanks for the advice πŸ™‚

      20/07/2013 at 6:49 PM

Thanks for being so interactive here Cameron.

Setting goals is no doubt a best time investment. Keep making new goals after achieving old ones and keep increasing the toughness of your goals. Soon the success will be at your door-steps.

    Hey Kulwant,
All the 7 tips are amazing.
I don’t know why but setting daily goals doesn’t work for me. That’s why I set weekly goals.
Totally agree with your second point. Facebooking is the best way to KILL time. But I am lucky enough that I am not an Facebook addicted. I love Google+ more than Facebook.
When it comes to early rising, it is only possible to me during exam times. Anyway I am going to implement your tips.
And finally thanks for sharing the book Eat That Frog.

    • Kulwant Nagi
      09/07/2013 at 5:31 PM

Istiak, when you set you weekly goals, then divide them into more small parts, and then try to complete them on time. Read the article which is coming below as link with commentluv.

I liked all your points, specifically waking up early which I never do. Your quotation was also heart touching. Thanks. Waiting for some more common must do things for bloggers.

Using facebook is not wasting time. But it use limited. or using fb for business purpose. Share your blog with your fb friend by giving link. I think it will help a blogger.

I am bad with trying to multi tasking hoping that I will get more done. In reality I usually end up getting less done. Another thing that I have noticed that helps me accomplish more online is taking breaks. I did not realize that, but taking breaks has helped me accomplish more.

I also need to get better with setting goals. I don’t this the way that I should be doing it. Thanks for these great tips.

    • Kulwant Nagi
      25/08/2013 at 2:23 PM

Susan, even I was doing this mistake to do multi-tasking, but soon I found it and tried to get rid of it. Now my tasks are more arranged and I am getting awesome results.

I too with your point that FB wastes a lot of our precious time. The moment I open my FB account, I spend better part of the spare time on FB which gives me nothing in terms of real progress. I am right now struggling to come out of it.

    Regards
    (Barnali)
