I think another one to add to the list would be “Lack of promotion”. You might have the greatest blog in the world, but if nobody knows about it then it’s not going to grow. Poor design, low quality content, and too many ads might turn away visitors once they are there, but if you can’t get visitors in the first place, then your blog isn’t going to grow either.

1. Using high density keywords
