Google PageSpeed Service is something new which is revolving around the internet. Google is on the verge to make internet more enjoyable and easily accessible. They are working on various services to encourage more webmasters to give rich online experience.
You must be aware that page speed is one of the prime factor for a blog to have excellent SEO.

According to Google PageSpeed Service site “PageSpeed Service is an online service to automatically speed up loading of your web pages. PageSpeed Service fetches content from your servers, rewrites your pages by applying web performance best practices and serves them to end users via Google’s servers across the globe.”
How Google PageSpeed Service works
1. Request access to service by filling out this web form.
After filling this form you will get one mail from them about approval. Here is the screenshot of mail which I got after approval.

2. After Approval login to Google APIs Console with the same E-Mail ID.
Click on the left hand side on Page Speed Services.
Click on Overview.
3. Add your Domain which you requested while approval.
Note: if you haven’t verified your domain ownership previously then you will have to follow the steps to verify the ownership.
4. If you have verified the ownership previously then you will see like this.

Note: They will either ask to change A record or CNAME Record (In my case they asked to change CNAME Records).
5. Login to your Domain provider and do the asked settings.
Settings will propagate on the servers depending on the time of your domain provider. They usually take 1-24 hours to propagate.
6. Once the setting will be OK on servers then you will see ENABLED message in Google API Console.

Thanks Kulwant for sharing this information. You have wonderfully gathered up all the settings and portrayed each step very beautifully. Yes, PageSpeed Service is able to cache just portions of a site’s HTML code. Once enabled, Google’s servers only need to go back to the origin server to fetch the non-cacheable parts while the other parts are already visible on the user’s browser… PageSpeed Service prioritizes content that is above the fold of the browser and defers JavaScript execution until page load.
Thanks for explaining Technicalities Infoway. I would highly recommend this to every blogger to speed up their blogs.

Thanks for this great post. Actually I have used their service and its good as compared to have. But even after using them my blog’s loading time was more than 4 to 5 seconds. So finally I had to switch to maxcdn.
The second reason for leaving Google page speed, is that their service is still in beta version and was in beta since Last two years. I don’t think their has been any improvement in their service. That’s my personal view.
