You might be hearing a lot about Google Author Rank these days but you may not know what it is all about. Well, there is no need to get confused or depressed because in this post, you can learn all about it. Most importantly, I will be talking about how you can prepare for Google Author Rank and what benefits it can bring to your search engine results.
You must be agree with my point that Google is going to dominate internet world very soon, because people love it and this is the most loved search engine. They are still in experimenting mode and launching algo after algo to provide more useful content to end user. Google want to deliver accurate content to all users.
Previously, you only had to depend on your website’s PR to get ranked well in Google but things are changing now and formula for better results has also changed. The big reason for taking this step is the crowd of websites. People are starting websites and putting content by just copy pasting and by doing some ethical or unethical link building they are ranking well in Google SERP. Google want to combat such people by launching this Google Author Rank change as the people having quality blog and presence will be ranked in SERP now.
Previously it was;
Better PR = Better Results
Now it is;
Better PR + Better AuthorRank = Better Results
So, you can see that not only you need to maintain a good PR of your website but at the same time; you have to pay attention towards your own reputation as well. Having good PR but bad AR can bring unexpected search engine results for you. So the question is; how to prepare for AuthorRank so you can rank well in search engine results.
Is it time?
Perhaps, this is the question that you are asking yourself right now. Well, the system has not yet been launched by Google but I’m telling you, once they will loose the horses, it will already be very late for you. Only those websites will be able to benefit at that time who are already working to get their AR better. So, yes its time and its now. If you are serious about keeping your good rankings in SERPs then you have to start working at your AR along with your PR.
How to Improve Google Author Rank?
There are a few things that you can do to prepare for better AR as it arrives in the market.
1. Start writing killer content
Google Author Rank is all about authorship which means that Google will definitely be assessing the quality of content that you write. If you write killer content in your niche, Google will never mind giving you good AR but if there are so many errors, mistakes, grammatical and sentence structure issues in your work, Google would never mind pushing you towards the corner. Plagiarism is of course that can get you a death penalty, I’m sure.
2. Start sharing as much as possible
Those who share with others always get good ranking in Google so until today, you were sharing content to increase PR of your blog/ website but from today, you will be sharing it to get better AR. As much as you share your quality content, as much good results it will bring for you.

3. Keep your content unique and fresh
Didn’t I mention it earlier that if there is anything that Google loves then it is fresh and unique content? Well, I’m mentioning it now and you have to concentrate on what I’m saying. Keep your content fresh all the time and keep it unique. Adopt a writing style that no one else has in your community and feel the difference.

4. Google +1′s
Try to get as much as you can Google +1 from your community and friends. Google has launched +1 so that they can analyze that how many users are giving vote to this content. 1 Google +1 mean that you have 1 vote and one person thinks that you have good content so Google +1 is going to be a major factor in Author Rank.
Other thing you can do with your Google Plus profile is add the link as author in contributor section.
You can add the link as http://www.bloggingcage.com/author/kulwant/ so that Google will display many other post written by you on various blogs in its SERP.
5. # of Circlers
If you have used Google plus then you may know about Google circles. If more profiles has made you in circles then it gives a sign to Google that this person is popular on Social network and it has followers. People in Circles indicate followers.
More Followers in Google plus = More Authority
6. Posting Frequency
It has been seen that if you have a good frequency of posting new content on your blog then you can have a good value in the eye of Google. Have a look on tech crunch and The Verge, You will come to know that they have good rankings all because they are updating 20-25 Articles in one day.
7. Comments per Post
Comments per post plays an important play role as well. If you have few comments then it means that users are not engaged with your content, And if you have a lot of comments then the bounce rate will be less and it means that users are engage in the post. Try to get as many comments as you can on your posts.

Very useful post bro, thanks for this. I think this is the reason that Google is displaying author profiles on their search so that they tell their users who wrote the posts. We must have to get followers for our G+ profile. it will increases our +1 of posts when we share posts on profile.
