There is a new contest up and running here where you can bag some massive cash and digital Goodies. Yeah that’s right, show up your skills by shaping a creative and relevant blog posts, win some hearts and you beat it. He says 3 winners will be selected by diving into the statistics of Facebook likes, tweets, stumbled hits, G+’s, and comments.
They have points from point 2,5,5,10,20 and I think you should work to gain some comments by the traditional method – asking your loyal readers 😉 .
Hey! wait a sec, are we overthrowing our self from the Topic? Then let’s get straight to it. In this post I will be sharing some ideas I got with me on how to write a successive Guest Post. I hope this will help you to score big and win the contest.
How To Score The Maximum Out Of Guest Posts?
Although we will be talking about writing a successive Guest Post, I think we should target more on how to win the game up here on BloggingCage 🙂
Before proceeding, can I ask you a bunch of Questions? What is actually a successive Guest Post? Are you gonna sit back and wait for the magic to happen after you get your post published?
You have to exploit the best profits from your Guest Posts, for that you need to have a powerful item from its beginning to end.
Building up a strong online presence must be the main intention behind being a guest on other blogs. I got fantastic results to my blog just after writing my first post here about Optimizing Individual Blog Posts.
#1; Target the Loyal Readers other than Search Bots.
Know the fact that you are not Guest Posting for gaining organic traffic to that post. You have to write on reputable blogs and you need to grab their loyal readers from their blog and shoot them right towards your blog. You have to put priority to humans than SEO while you write on other blogs.
If you are participating on this contest, please don’t over optimize it. Keep it in the ration of 1:3.
where Optimization : Content Efficiency.
#2; Magnetize your Titles.
Titles are the door to the posts. So shape your titles so that it give promise to the users around some value and make them your reader.
Write catchy headlines and make it a killer one and you won’t regret it. Don’t stuff it with keywords, but include a powerful keyword which is quite relevant.
#3; Don’t forget to Roll Out Value.
Do you love reading worthless articles online? Probably no, if yes you might have some serious problems 🙂 .
Who would love to waste their precious time online? So don’t even think about making your readers bored or waste their time. Even if you are writing on another blog as a guest, try to put your maximum efforts on it.
#4; Gain some Love.
Try to act more human. Don’t just list out all the tips and tricks all in one go. Write like you are talking to them face to face.
- Ask them questions.
- Confuse them a bit and solve it at the end.
- Roll out some facts they already know to make them know that you got some valuable information with you.
- Include personal experiences.
- Make them laugh or think hard, you won’t regret it.
Try combining these methods of course you with relevant value.
It’s not about writing more, it’s about the power in the content you write. Read Kulwant’s article on Quality and Quantity when it comes to blogging.
#5; Optimize the Post yourself and Save the Moderator’s time.
Yeah! I love it when my Guest do it. And I’m pretty sure you all do too.
To get your Guest Post published at the earliest and with a chance of 40% MORE, try to save the time of the moderator.
- Interlink it with relevant articles from the blog itself.
- Optimize it for Search Engines by yourself.
- Other than SEO, highlight out the main phrases by boldening it up.
- Make your post fragmented by using subheadings and list items.
- Include powerful pictures as they talk thousand words.
#6; Never forget your Bio.
Think of a situation where you got em’ all but forgot the author bio with link back and your spicy details. Ops! You lost the game 🙁
Make sure you have an effective author profile which will help you to plus up your online presence.
- Tell about yourself.
- Tell about your blog.
- And keep it simple and interesting to read.
#7; Well ofcourse Proofread it.
You might think proofreading is such a waste of time. If so, I’d like to nod my head like Noddy from Pogo does.
I have seen terrific mistakes on my older articles when I didn’t used to be proofread them. And the results after I started proving myself they are worth it were fantastic.
Every police has a mistake, right? So take your time and read from the beginning patiently. Blame me if you don’t find atleast 1 mistake. 🙂
Aah! I’m not pretty sure about the word I just used here, it just popped out.
Let’s take a break. I think you got it all to exploit the best from a Guest Post. But you are planning to win the Guest Blogging Competition. Right? You gotta do far more than just shaping a killer post to win it.
How To Win The Guest Blogging Contest Like A Piece Of A Cake Which Is Tough To Cut?
So, you wanna win. Right? Hold on to your Keyboards and gear up your mouse.
#1; Make sure you write about the Contest.
Although he says it’s optional to write about the contest, I think you should not let a chance of 400 points get away easily.
Write about it at the very end of the article. I think it will give more chance of not getting the readers diverted. But try not to go off the limit. Focus on your topic and whatever it is give it the top priority.
You will need to include the Images and Links of those sponsors in the post. Keep it also at the end.
This is the code you need to put on the article.
Go to the Text tab in the writing section and paste this code exactly where you want to show it.
For example, like I did here.
#2; The Sharing Hits Count.
Note that here is where the real competition starts. You gotta gain likes, tweets, Google +s and stumbleupons to score points.
So it’s up to you to make the content, lovable and sharable.
Notice that the like social sharing buttons here on BloggingCage is situated at the beginning of the post. So 70% chances of your article getting those hits lies upon the Title. Make use of the tips I told you earlier to give yourself a more winning chance. Impress them and make them Wow by using those buttons after seeing the titles.
#3; Comments matter more.
First of all, good work Kulwant, for setting a higher point level for comments. Great idea. 🙂
It’s 20 points which you will get from a comment. And I think he will not be counting repetitions and author comments. Right?
So, don’t forget to ask your readers questions, deliver great content and arise back questions in them. Even if your replies won’t count, try to reply all those comments you get to gain more comments. People will actually start to think – “Wow ! Quick responses, I love them”.
#4; Now to Promote it.
Don’t just sit back after you get your content published. Go and fetch some readers + traffic. It will be worth doing.
Guess what I’m participating too. But I’m pretty sure I won’t touch the decision area of Kulwant’s mind. I know there are some pretty good loyal readers who are pretty good writers up here on BloggingCage and I just entered the blogosphere. But a try is always worth it. Right? 🙂
