Blogging and Search Engine Optimization reached Saturation Point?

Search Engine Optimization is one of the well-known words in the Web World now a days. In 2002 – 2007, the world wide web is almost under-par, as you can see only few blogs/websites around the world are existing and it was the time when Content Management Systems like WordPress, blogger, Tumblr, etc., have started growing and even the internet users, started using e-commerce websites and many others aspects.

The World of Blogging has started around in 2001-02. Currently, I don’t hesitate to say that the word Blogging, Social Media Marketing and Search Engine Optimization are losing their respect. The recent updates and activities of Google are clearly reflecting the fact that Search Engine Optimization has reached Saturation Point now. But, we are not yet done. In 2002, 2006, 2010, 2011 and now in 2012, Google has launched updates in order to enhance the user experience and also to provide accurate results for the users.

Google Panda and Penguin1 Blogging and Search Engine Optimization reached Saturation Point?

Many new concepts evolved like Internet Marketing, Article Marketing, Blog Networks and many new ways to getting backlinks has grown over years. Because of this, the value of link-building is reducing and the competition between websites is growing.

Currently, with the recent Algorithmic updates of Google, is expecting us to work really hard to rank and most of the proven ways that were developed over past years like Blog Networks, Article Marketing are almost at the end stage. Now it’s not just about getting high number of backlinks or optimizing your site, to rank, but the Search Engines wants us to work for the users and it is clearly mentioned in many famous Search Engine conferences like SMX.

Blogging is almost polluted. The evolution of commercial blogging, and its fixed with a special name called Niche or Micro Niche blogging, where a simple blog will be created with few pages by focusing on a specific niche and I’m sure that these blog’s doesn’t add any value to the users as they are created with one single aim – “Just to make money”. Blogging and Money making can’t stay together. If you blog sincerely without expecting anything, you can earn money now or later, but if you start a blog just for money, you are never going to earn money. These words might not be true in all cases, but I’d proudly say that I never ever tried to manipulate my users by creating crappy content.

Due to the mixture of all crap around the world namely Nice or Micro Niche blogs + Article Marketing + Blog Networking, the Blogging and Search Engine Optimization concepts got polluted. The recent Panda and Penguin updates are clearly focused on to clear the trash from their servers, but somehow the algorithms aren’t that clean, few of the authority blogs got affected, but still the idea to clear these trashes that which are creating mess out of the world should be appreciated.

Finally, I’d like to conclude that, though they’ve reached the Saturation point, but still I believe that the latest updates are seriously going to show some clear way for genuine entrepreneurs.

Great article and great description of the direction in which SEO is headed. I do think that quality content is the way to go, but you are always going to have those that want to short cut and take the easier road available though. I don’t however believe that we have reached a saturation point as of yet though, because the internet and even SEO and blogging are continually growing and there doesn’t even appear to be a slow down in sight. Good work, look forward to reading more from you.

    nice post Sidduz
as you said every blogger should work for the user and not for making money. Any blog started for making money online is very hard to succeed. If you can work for the users, providing excellent contents for then sooner or later you can start making money online with blogs

  3. Nice article Sidduz… Last two updates of Google have changed so many things for sure. SEO has almost gone but not fully. Keywords are still there as the building blocks! I agree with your point that author should make contents for the readers rather than optimizing it for SEO. But we should keep in mind that only good SEO can attract the right audience! Nice post BTW…
