4 Best Ways to Speed Up Desktop PCs
#1. Free your Disk Space Regularly
This is one of the most important thing that we need to focus in order to speed up our desktop PC. The general disk cleaning softwares like Disk Cleanup or Defragger, etc., will help you to do this job quite easily. These are flexible softwares that allows us to clean up the individual files or files in bulk. We can clean unwanted files like temporary internet files, windows temporary files, downloaded files, unused files and many more which ultimately Speed Up Desktop PC.
#2. Use Antivirus softwares that demands for minimal system attention.
Try to find out the system requirements of the anti-virus softwares before downloading and make sure it is compatible with your system and never over evaluate about your system’s capacity. The incompatible Anti-Virus softwares are one of the reason for slowing down of your computer. Some of the trusted anti-virus softwares like Kaspersky, Microsoft Windows Security Essentials, AVG, Avast provides reasonable security services for free of cost. Im not a great fan of bitdefender, as it slows down our system frequently and you’ll notice the blue screen blowing it at times.
#3. Reduce the Load on your RAM
Since, we used to install many applications, browser add-ons, tools, etc., generally there are many unwanted applications that run on the background of our system. It is our prime duty to get rid of these unwanted applications running in the background. It can be done easily by switching to the task manager and try to delete the unwanted applications running and be careful while deleting them. Never every delete the registry elements and other stuff, which might completely crash your system.
#4. Leave minimum of 2 GB Free Space in your HDD.
This is yet another important thing that most of the people will ignore. It is always suggested to leave at least 400 MB of free space in our HDD, but as far as per my experience, I’d like to suggest people to leave minimum of 1 to 2 GB of free space in their HDD as we need to provide scope for virtual memory as well. We have to delete unused files at regular intervals. Use CCleaner software for this.
