Everyone it too much concern improving their SEO so that their blog can gain more popularity. Some is installing too many plugin, someone is optimizing the blog and someone is trying to gain more backlinks. No doubt these are the essential and must to do things for a blog. but what if your blog is not having good design, good content etc then all these tactics will be just waste. Improving SEO is a step by step and improved with your dedication and commitment. With this race of improving SEO the bloggers are not paying attention to the building blocks of the blogs. I observed this thing when I visited some of the good indian blogs and saw they were lacking these things. In a day usually I visit around 40-50 new blogs and always trying to learn and grab the things bcz these day I am learning that how compelling the theme of a blog should be. These are the must have non-seo things for a blog.
1. Author Bio below post
This is the most compelling thing of a post and no doubt this is the must seen thing when you are reading a post. I noticed that some of the blogs don’t have gravatar image for the post author and some even don’t placed the author bio. This is the must have things for any blog.
2. Archives
Some People like me are always interested to see the Archive of any blog they visit. Because by seeing Archive you can know about the existence of the blog. When this blog was started and how many posts they do in a month. So by analyzing these little things you can improve your blogging well.
3. Sitemap
Sitemap tell how many Categories a blog is having and how many post per Category. So you can compare your blog with any good blog and improve your posting per Category.
4. Footer
Footer is the another thing which is being noticed by every one. The blog should have a footer and you should not use the dark color for the footer.
5. About me Page
This is the most viewed page of any blog. People want to know the background and experience of the blog owner. Even I always visit the about me page of the blog so that I can take the inspiration form them.
6. Search Box
Search box gives the comfort to your reader to digg in your site more deeply
7. Contact Me
Contact me Page is again a most accessed page of a blog. some time people are ready to write for you and sometime any advertiser is interested to post his ads on your blog. So he can contact you easily.
8. Social Media Buttons
Social Media is giving a lot of traffic as well as a lots of business to the blogs. These are the best source t promote your blog ad have the better user engagement. So you must put the like and share box in your blog.
9. RSS feed
People loves the good content and they want you in their Mail Inbox. So putting RSS feed for your blog is must
10. Readable Fonts
The Fonts must be in readable format. Do not use too small and too big fonts for your blog.
